presents

today at work i've been sitting in a little room using the scientific equivalent of a deli slicer and taking tiny slices of mouse organs to put on slides. normally i sort of loathe this, but not today. for today i have a new birthday ipod, given to me by a certain someone whose name begins with 'd' and ends in 'ave'. it has a click wheel! my old ipod would be so ashamed, sitting up there on the shelf next to my phonograph and the bonfire and blanket i use as a means of communication. i happily sliced uteri while listening to nick cave. it was about as nice a day as it can be at baylor.

but wait, it can get better: there are thin mints hidden in the lab freezer. (inside a latex glove, don't want any contamination.)
